Life from an Outsider's Perspective Why you should read my blog: Hello, Because the best parts actually have very little do do with bikes! I completed a Doctorate in Materials Science, at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. My background is science, but my passion is cycling & bicycles. I have travelled extensively around the world and finally settled down on a Spanish Volcanic Island located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa (Tenerife). Its about the life of an ex-research scientist who now runs a pro bike hire business in one of the most extreme training zones on the planet... a place where flat roads don't exist. Also, this place could not possibly be located further from my original home in Sydney; its the antipode of Sydney. This is blog is dedicated to my life integration in this new culture. It's a look at Life's struggle, philosophy, science simplified, depression and seeking inspiration. Synchronicity. Life from an Outsider's Perspective. I hope you can stop by and take a look- Thanks, Leslie. Current bikes: kestrel, mrazek, merida, decathlon, leader, klein.

Bike Emory
Why you should read my blog: Bike Emory is a new program, sponsored by Emory and developed in collaboration with our two cycling partners, Fuji Bikes and Bicycle South. Our goal is to create a cycling culture Emory, encourage bike safety, hold bike events and provide other information that will be useful for cyclists around Emory. We want faculty, staff, students and community neighbors to first consider cycling when they travel around Emory instead of relying on single-occupancy vehicles. As incentives to cyclists and potential rider we: • offer new Fuji bikes at a reduced rate with a free helmet, tail light, and u-lock (bike.emory.edu/buy/promotions) • launched an on-campus mobile repair center (bike.emory.edu/ride/mobile-repair-center) • created an interactive website (bike.emory.edu) • offer safety classes (bike.emory.edu/learn/safety) • will fully launch the first phase of our Loaner program in the spring (bike.emory.edu/ride/loaner-program) Please visit our website and when you do be sure to check out the new Bike Emory mini-documentary currently posted on our front page. We’d love to hear what you think about us and would greatly appreciate if you would link to our site. We’d be happy to return the favor. Many thanks and happy cycling! Current bikes: Fuji Bikes |
